Need help with networking.

Hello , my problem is really getting on my nerves. Every time I try to update Java it says that I need to check my connection , when Im sure its working perfectly. Now I just tried to download World Of Warcraft which once open the downloader it says : Unable to initialize streaming. Please check your internet connection. I switched off my firewall and im using Eset Smart Security. Thanks!

A lot could be at play when you start talking about networking. Are you running XP or Windows 7 ? I would start by restacking your TCP. XP - start > run > cmd netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt Reboot

Win7 Start > Run > cmd (right click, run as administrator) netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt Reboot

You may also want to check and make sure your internet has not been hijacked. You may have a proxy configured in your Internet Explorer Settings. You can verify it is off by looking at Internet Options in the Control Panel. Go to the Connections Tab, and click the LAN Settings. Should be set for Automatically.

I would recommend scanning your computer using MalwareBytes. (http://www.malwarebytes.org)

Try what jeremymcs has mentioned there. It would be a start in the right direction for windows 7. This will help you repair the networking connection on windows 7. I've done this even on a windows XP machine as well. Even running netsh i i i r which will do about the same thing and you would need to reboot the computer and not the cisco router. The command that jeremymcs is mentioning is on the operating system itself.
