Probably not.. Apple doesn't usually stay up to date with performance. It'll probably have some cool toys on it though^^

Chances are it will be the same dual core A5 chip found in the iPad 2. Since that's what Apple did last year with the iPad and the iPhone 4. They launched the iPad first with the A4 chip and then later put it inside of the iPhone 4.

Apple has done well for over a year with a single core chip so chances are they'll do well with the dual core chip too.

Many people including me think that dual-core is a waste since it drains so much battery life. So imagine how low the battery will be with quad-core!

Could be, but no. Why? Because Dual-core hasn't even taken off yet. Everything you would want to run on a mobile phone runs very well with a single core 1Ghz processor. Heck, even the iPhone 4 has a 1Ghz processor. The most logical option for the iPhone 5 would be a 1Ghz dual-core, maybe 1.2 - 1.5 Ghz, but not more.

It will probably not be, but it will probably have the same A5 dual core chip in the iPad.
