Some industry professionals will stay with the previous version of the suite but most consumers will either upgrade or buy the new version. Being used to the previous layout and tools can prevent people from upgrading.

they both seems great. I love them both. However, I would rather go with CS5 because it has some new features that I especially like.

It's most likely to be to be better surely, it's a newer and in adobe's eyes more improved version. I'm still on CS3 as far as photoshop is concerned and it's fine.

I've not had a chance to try it yet, but i'm sure CS5 will have any great features, but you can't rely on adobe not to mess it all up.
