Do you think a built-in app store on Windows 8 will be a good or bad addition to the OS? Why?

A great addition, as long as it isn't the only place to get software.

Not if it's the only way to get software. Even though it's nice for noobs to know that this software is legit and safe to use, for me I don't need that kind of service. As do everyone on this site who claims to be 'geeks'.. you should know if the software is crapped with viruses. Also I think that it will be hard for microsoft to achieve it on a big scale. Software available for Windows vastly outnumber the ones for osX, so they will get millions of requests and if they have to read through and test every single one of them.. that's gotta take some manpower to do, and unless Microsoft throws a price on it I can't see how this business model can work.
