can you buy unlocked cdma phones?

I know its possible to buy gsm sim card phones unlocked but there are only a few gsm carriers in the united states. Though is it possible to buy unlocked cdma phones or is the only way to get a cdma phone is to buy one from a carrier and flash it to another?

0	You simply can't buy unlocked CDMA phones in most cases. Some global phones though can be CDMA and will be able to support other networks, I don't now how exactly that works. answered Oct 06 '11 at 08:03 Liam Quade 7.4k●92●121●197
