No because with auto updates your software could update at an inconvenient time such as during intense video editing, during a skype call or during regular maintenance operations, Thus possibly interfering with your current task.

It’s each users responsibility to ensure their system is kept secure & up to date either via their own actions or with the assistance of a qualified professional.
