I wanted to send in a repair request for my Xbox 360, so Microsoft prompted me to sign in with my Windows Live ID. Unfortunately, I only know my Xbox Live gamertag, not my ID. Microsoft's solution is to log on to my Xbox 360 and find out. The only problem is that my 360 is broken.

So how can I find my Windows Live ID without using my Xbox?

It should be your email address, do you know what that is?

Ah right, in which case I'm not too sure. You could always try phoning in and organising a repair that way? Or since it's just to get support, and to access the warranty, all you will need is the serial number and proof of purchase, and so on, just make a new account to create the support ticket?

The only problem is that my current Xbox Live account was set up years ago by my older brother, and he's long forgotten that email.

Of course I know what MY Live ID is but he is not as organized I am.
