There are several great science fiction universes. The Star Wars and Star Trek fan-bases seem to be the largest. I personally like Stargate the best, I understand if that makes you mad, I wasn't always like that. I've been a Trekker for most of my life and if I had to choose between Star Wars and Star Trek it'd definitely be Star Trek for me. What's your favorite universe? Star Trek? Star Wars? Battlestar Galactica? Stargate? Who would win in starship battles? Enterprise-e vs. Star Destroyers? Borg Cube vs. Death Star? Phasers vs. lasers? It's a lot to think about.alt text

I haven't played Starcraft II yet. I heard it would be more like World of Warcraft as far as game play and format. Is it? Do you like it better than Starcraft?

eeh what? How can anyone compare an RTS to a MMORPG xD I like it better than the first and many will hate me for it. But I don't like needing 400 apm to play it. So many issues with the AI. In SC2 you don't have to outsmart the AI to win the battles.

Technically, I've never really watched Star Trek except for like the one time I took a 3 minute peek at my friend's house and I've watched a few Star Wars movies...I guess I'm more of a Star Wars guy.

I grew up watching Star Trek with my father, so that does have some sentimental meaning to me. With that said, I 'm Star Wars all the way.

Out of the big two, it has to be Star Trek, but as a Brit I have to pick Doctor Who - if that counts, as it's a hybrid-verse (ie kind of our own...)

Yeah, Doctor Who definitely counts. I love Doctor Who too, old and new.

star trek has to be at the top of my list. i watched the first star wars movie when it actually hit the theaters and it did nothing for me. i really like the original battlestar galactic series, however the one syfy did pissed me off. it was a soap opera. as for stargate i like the entire franchise.

I never could get into Star Trek, but Star Wars was able to keep my interest and still does.

So, I'm a Jedi.
