I feel more connected or aware. To be honest, I don't watch the news on TV anymore. I rely on Twitter and G+ for updates. I follow all my local news stations as well as national ones. I also read what my friends post.

For example, with the London Riots: If it weren't for YouTube, I would not have followed that story or been aware of the chaos.
