Unity errors after Kubuntu installation

I installed a partition of Ubuntu onto my PC using wubi, then I went ahead and installed KDE onto Ubuntu. Now I have the classic ubuntu interface, the unity interface (11.04), and the kubuntu interface. The problem occurred just after I installed Kubuntu. Every time I log into unity (and just unity - classic works fine) it doesn't load the panel or the application "dock" on the left hand side. I have to take the shortcut into terminal and say unity --reset. I'm sure this problem relates to the Kubuntu installation. How do I fix this? I want KDE and Unity without having to reset it upon login.
