not sure on macs, but this has happened to me on so many occasions on my windows machine, try this, open the program, and then change desktop resolution to a lower one, it should realign all programs that are open to fit the new resolution, programs that are out of the parameters will move to the center of the screen.

works in windows, not sure on mac, but it's worth a try.

OUCH! I would take it into the Apple store and have them backup your data, reinstall Lion, and put your data back on. Or you could do it yourself with an external hard drive.

I've also heard about Time Machine, which restores your Mac to a point earlier in time, but I haven't tried it out yet.

I had the same problem--changed my resolution and it snapped the window back where it belonged. Thanks, guys!
