If you are old enough to drive: Have you noticed a difference in your driving habits depending on who is in the car with you (ie a baby, friend, grandparents, date, etc) If you are NOT old enough to drive: Do you think your parents or friends alter their driving when you're in the car? How so? |
|
My example is this: If it is just me in the car, I drive a little faster and am not as focused on stopping waaaay before I have to. If I have a child or parent / grandparent in the car, I will drive the speed limit and make sure I give myself plenty of time to stop. Just something I've noticed about my own driving habits. |

Yes, I am old to drive, and I drive daily. When my parents are in the car, I drive like my dad, and he drives normally with the occasional aggression when people drive too slowly. When my friends are in the car, I drive faster, maybe like 10 more the speed limit, so 55 is 65 m.p.h. If my GF is in the car, I drive slower like 5 less than the speed limit, so 55 is 50, not a big difference, but i'm still driving at a legal speed. If my Grandparents are in the car, I drive super aggressively, kinda like I have road rage. But it all depends where I am. If in in America I'd drive like that, if i'm in the Dominican, where we have some people who don't know how to drive at all, but still have their licence, I drive aggressively in my Mighty Max because one, I don't want to collide with another car No insurance in D.R., and also the drivers there also use road rage as well. |

just me i turn the radar detector on and i drive fast and change lanes a lot. when my girlfriend is in the car she yells at me for driving like grandma. |

Somewhat. Passengers tend to change the weight distribution. Sometimes, on ice or when taking corners at high speeds, that comes into play. I adjust my driving to compensate for the weight. Otherwise, no. I always drive aggressively. |
