iPad vs. Tablet?

In detail, i want to know their functions, advantages/dis-advantages, their everything everything everything..... including the price. And i am asking this because i know NOTHING about them.

ipad is a tablet. all tablets serve the same function, a more portable way than a laptop to carry a device to connect you to the internet and also has smartphone like apps that have been adapted to the larger screen. between iPad and an android tablet its just what you prefer. i would recommend iPad though. if price is a problem amazons tablet named the amazon fire is a great android tablet and is only 200.
