I'm from the UK, and will be getting the iPhone 4S at Christmas, however I have found out that the business finder in Siri here in the UK doesn't work! Someone even said the maps business finder, which works with my current iPhone and iPad, also doesn't work with the iPhone 4S. Though this does not put me off getting the 4S I do wonder why this is, doesn't Siri just search google maps? If you know why do you know how long it will take them to make this upgrade? |

Really? I saw a screenshot saying you can only use business finder in the US when you have your language set to US English. This may mean that you will be able to find UK businesses when you have it set to British English. As I have just checked and confirmed, yelp.com works fine within the UK. You may find that it is an area not researched properly. If I were you, find an Apple store, or an O2, Vodafone, 3 or whatever shop and see if they have any 4S's on display. If so, try something like "where can I get drunk" and it will find bars near you (no joke xD). You could also try "where is there a bar", "where can I eat" and all of that. You may find that it does work but only when its set to British English. As far as I know, the only difference was that Siri has the "Daniel" British voice rather than the normal Siri voice that you hear on the website. I am also looking to get a 4S for christmas, and I think it would be a bit of a letdown if that didn't work. Hope I helped you! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmatsnkd2Lk - this video demonstrates the issue, I've heard about it in other places though. I do hope that you are right though!! However I'm really getting the 4S for the photo/video quality, Siri will be a bonus (if it works!) |

As Siri is in beta it only supports businesses located in the US and only when you're language is set to US English. It will not work with English businesses yet, but it soon will when it comes out of beta! |
