There is Fedora, Suse, Mint, Windows XP (eww). You can give FreeBSD/PC-BSD a shot. You could try React OS or Haiku OS as well (React OS is an open source version of Windows [sorta], and Haiku is a modern open source version of BeOS) Yeah those are the top ones of alternative versions of linux. and I agree on Windows XP (Making a sour puss like sucking on a lemon.) I haven't tried BEOS. But I had always heard good things about it. I could have bought it waaaay back when they were still around and selling it at some of the IT bookstores. too bad I did not take it up over here. with a full version back then. Also if you want even more alternatives of Linux. go to Distrowatch.com They have the top 100 distros available with their web sites where you can download a live cd from them. |
