I have a Logitech Z313 speaker system for my desktop. The package comes with a sub woofer that the speakers are pretty much required to plug into because the sound is very low if its not plugged into the sub woofer because I can't adjust the volume. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Most programs have an EQUALIZER of some kind.

  • Quicktime for example:
  • Windows Menu
  • Show A/V Controls
  • Adjust the Bass Level there

No worries. It seems like this place (LockerGnome.net) has lost it's warm cozy feeling =0(...

From what I understand it's a 2.1 stereo system (2 speakers and 1 subwoofer). If the subwoofer is a separate object, there might be a nob on the back of the unit that will let you adjust the sub's volume; my subwoofer has a little nob on the back to adjust bass volume.

Nope. There is no nob to adjust the bass.

This might not be a real fix, but if you're listening to music, you can EQ it to be high in the treble, low in the bass, or a mix of both. There might be an app that will let you permanently EQ your audio. I'll tell you if I find any information.

This might be able to EQ the audio coming out of your computer (apparently if you have a realtek audio chip): http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/get-the-realtek-equalizer-back-in-windows-7-vista/

I'm sure you can adjust it in sound properties in the controls panel

For one, you could buy a preamp that allows you to adjust bass/treble levels, which is a surefire way to adjust the bass of any input.
