Is there a cheaper way to broadcast from my HD Video Camera tethered it to a smartphone?
LiveStreamPac is designed for journalists working in locations that are unsuitable for a conventional news van. It lets users stream HD video over 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, or Wi-Max connections...

It depends on your upload speed and also the codec used for the video.I am not sure where you are located but in most parts of the US, 4G service is nonexistent and upload speeds are slow, making live streaming HD video which tends to require a 2-3mbit upload to be very difficult.
I wonder if it is possible to connect a HD camera to a laptop and use it as a webcam, then use orb to stream it to a home PC on a fast connection which can handle the distribution in a proper fashion.
A service like orb will adjust the compression to fit the available connection speed.
Most of those all in 1 live broadcast kits such as those advertised at CES tend to basically be a overpriced system running something similar to orb which can transcode the video in real time to fit the connection speed.
