I am a user of Macintosh, I have the Logitech Z-4 speaker plugged into it, and i when a call, text or email is coming in, i get a major buzzing sound, this aslo happens when my phone is trying to find signal. It doesn't do it when i have the Macbook without speakers, but it is really started to get on my nerves.

Could anyone help? It would be much appreciated!

Cheers Dan Thomas

its just radio wave interference. the cell signal is being picked up by the wires going into the speakers. acting kind of like an antenna, expect instead of being converted into a text its being converted into sound

Ahh, i see. is there any way of preventing this sound, apart from moving the phone away from the speakers?

Thank you for your prompt reply, it is much appreciated.

There is a buzzing noise when a call is coming in is because there is a radio interference (usually in the 850MHz band) with the speaker possibly cause by bad shielding.

Solution, try adding aluminum foil to the speaker cables and or getting a ferrite bead http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrite_bead
