I haven't played much Battlefield, but i love Call of Duty. A lot of people say Battlefield is better though. What do you think?

I pretty much waited 6 years before I bought any Battlefield game and I regretted it. COD4 was almost perfect, MW2 was okay. But Black Ops was whack.

COD stopped being fun when I couldn't play the game with tactics while soloing, without losing like crazy. This started in Black Ops, and I really hated it. I had to rush like all those AK74u dicks to get even half the KDR score they had. I also hated the Prestige mode where I had to restart with nothing if I wanted to get to a higher rank.

Battlefield 3 on the other hand is pretty damn fun since I could continue soloing with my "asshole" tactics to get more kills, while still helping my team. I also get to fly helicopters and jets, or drive jeeps with mounted guns and tanks.

In the end, it's all about preference when playing games. I just like being able to do more, instead of rushing into everywhere to get kills.

Driving a tank or jeep in-game is fun, but you gotta keep a lookout for those nasty ass mines that'll kick you up in a jiffy if you aren't careful.

Battlefield 3 is more about team play. That, and it has destruction and vehicles. The upcoming DLC is awesome. Though, Battlefield 3 is a PC game. On a console, it is still good, but, well, not as good.

Modern Warfare 3 on the other hand, is completely solo-able. You do not get rewarded for working in a team. I think of Modern Warfare 3 as a console game. It just fits better on consoles.

Myself, I am a PC gamer, so I'd pick Battlefield 3 over Modern Warfare 3 any day, tough I understand the people who do not.

The only two downsides about BF3 would be Origin and the web interface for server selection. :(

I agree on Origin, but the browser server selection really isn't that bad. It allows people to use their favorite browser, probably in the future, use some plugins, and it doesn't interfere with your gameplay or so. It's something different, when you get used to it, you don't find it a downside. :-p

I actually prefer in-game server browsing, where parts of the game are already pre-loaded into the memory for faster game loading.

Origin wise, it'd be nice if it were Steam instead where all my past gaming buddies were on. I'm just too lazy to find all my peeps on Origin. :/

built-in server browsing has it advantages too. I agree. And Origin should be removable. Why would I need that crap to shoot some virtual folks through the head?!

only been playing COD last evening but i will say two things--COD maps almost seem claustrophobic compared to Battlefield's. not sure if that is a good thing or bad yet because i do like fast action sometimes. and COD's characters seem more solid than Battlefield's. i'm reminded of how Spiderman looked in the first movie--he seemed almost too light and wispy. COD characters seem to have more weight to them.

Battlefield 3 a very good game but not worth the current price tag. Multiplayer has cheaters (though they were present during the beta), single player can be beaten in about 3 hours on "Easy"

Have not tried modern warfare 3 yet but so far there are complaints about lack of new things and many are considering it to just be an expansion where a few extra missions and maps are added (when the game crashes, it labels it's self as modern warfare 2)

I prefer Battlefield 3. Every COD ever since MW1 is just reskinned with new guns and maybe perks.
