AT&T has no iPhone 4S since release date?

I recently went to the AT&T store expecting to happily walk out of there with a brand new iPhone 4S. This was just yesterday, a month after and a few days after it was released. I was very surprised to hear from the sales rep in there that they had not gotten shipments since the release date. I just wanted to know if it is the same at some of you guys' AT&T stores, and if Verizon and Sprint are still getting shipments.
