the Macbook (not pro) is the most affordable Mac of today. but you can save money by asking Chris for a coupon :3 a 13 inch Mac book Pro is almost similar to the mac book (with the 4GB Ram memory which is upgradeable) th Mac book Air is made lightweight and compact (but may have some heat issues). if your goin for power its gonna be the 15 - 17 inch Macbook pros but i dont recommend it for school use (its is heavy and may need A bigger bag to carry) and the power of the 13 inch Macbook( pro or not pro) is already enough for school work. i also recommend you getting a lock for some security (Kenshington i think sells locks for macs)

For high school i would recommend the 15 inch Macbook Pro most backpacks can safely carry it. It has enough power for anything you would want to do, and when you go to college it will still be good. If you can't get a 15 inch the 13 inch Macbook pro would be adequate but you might need to upgrade come college. I would not recommend the Macbook air for high school unless you are just going to do word documents.

You should get the Mac the suits your needs. Find something that suits your needs for what you want to use it for. If you need simple mobile computing try the MacBook. If you want high performance mobile computing try the MacBook Pro. If you want a casual desktop for general computing try the Mac Mini. If you want to do, lets say casual video editing try the iMac or if you are a professional designer try the Mac Pro. Whatever suits your budget is what you want.
