I need to get a phone I want something with 4g since it is blazing fast. I was wondering if I can connect to 3g with a 4g phone. I am on Verizon. Any Help will be awesome

I think it should, from the way I look at it they connect to the fastest service first 4G, then 3G, then EDGE then GPRS, then if it all fails, no service.

yes. pretty much every new thing is backwards compatible. same reason why 3g phones still connect toe edge

Yes, when you are in an area that can't reach a 4G tower, it will automatically switch to a 3G (and hopefully not an EDGE) tower.
