Hello there people, i have had my computer crashing alot recently, but i couldnt find anything myself so i need you guys to help me out :( Basicly when im watching twitch.tv wich is a streaming website where i watch other people play games, but after watching for awhile the whole thing begins to start lagging, the mouse starts lagging and the video, and the sound sounds like a emulator being played on a pc from the 80's lol, its realy bad and after awhile doing that the whole computer freezes completely and i need to force reset it. Now i tryed looking into some things like the tempretures and the cpu speed and memory usage. When it starts doing all that weird stuff the cpu switches between normal speed and 100% every second, and the memory usage of google chrome goes up to about 2gb in total. Here is a screenshot i made when it happens: http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/9567/lagprint.png Now im getting a new computer in hopefully a couple of months, but i want this pc to survive its last days. I get BSOD alot too, with pci.sys as the object that crashed, and somethings some weird .dll dont know what one because it was like 2 weeks ago. my computer specs are: Pentium 4 , 2.8ghz Processor. 2GB of RAM and a ATI Radeon 4350 HD 512mb

I realy hope somebody can help me out. Oh and my computer sometimes also crashed when i for example, pause a youtube video, it also crashes while playing games, it just crashes all the time. Thanks.

At first it sounds like the flash player has some problems, might want to reinstall it and Chrome. But if the computer crashes while playing games too I'd say the RAM is a little short and you might have some kind of system corruption. Try reinstalling windows or if able run a fresh version on a separate hard drive. Also make sure all your drivers are up to date.

Basic throubleshoot. Based on one of the things you said (pci.sys), this sounds like a graphics card issue. If you're comfortable with it, take the graphics card out and plug it back in. This will reseat the card. If that doesn't work, see if one of your friends has a pci diagnostics card (this is a long shot). It may be able to tell you if the pci slot is going bad. With the system running (be careful)and the case open check to make sure the fan on the graphics card is running.

update everything on the system. you might be running newer software with older software and its just getting backed up to a point the computer slows then freezes. i would also say get more ram but if your getting a new computer soon anyway don't bother. id also say once you move everything you need to the new computer then completely wipe that one and install a fresh os to use it as a back up or make experiment with linux with it or something.
