Can I run a Hdmi device through my computer and run it in a window

Does any one know if there is something out there that connects a USB drive or an internal card for pcs that would allow me to connect an hdmi divice to my pc and would treat it like the live view on a camera for example connecting a ps3 to it and then you would open the application and it would give you a live view just as if you had connected it to the display

you would need a HDMI PVR. you could input the video feed to the computer and see it onscreen, not sure how it will work, but if you search on youtube to see how they work and to see some experiances with HDMI PVR's you might find one that does what your looking to do.

There are none out there that are real time.

There would probably be some lag from the time the video comes out of the PS3 to the time it is displayed on your computer. If you are trying to play using your computer, this is a terrible idea, if you are trying to record, I would recommend you use component (the red green and blue cables). These cables can be split easily, and carry the same quality video signal as HDMI. You would send 1 pair of cables to the TV, and the other pair to the computer to record. However, I'll just point out that converting signals usually requires a very expensive piece of hardware. SD signals are a lot cheaper, but you can't play in HD.
