How did you? If you remember? And by "young", I mean, like 5 years old.
I used to believe that humans were filled with high pressure air. We had so much air inside of us, that our heads and other body parts felt hard when pressed in (please keep that joke to a maximum of zero).
Later I learned more about it when I played the DK game about the Human Body. Seemore Skinless really helped me learn the anatomy of humans and such. I apparently told my soccer coach once when I fell and hurt myself that I had hurt my clavicle, which to him, a doctor, was just hilarious. I was probably 5-6 years old at the time.
So, if you can remember your wacky theory about how the Human body worked from your childhood, post below!

My dad was a doctor and my mom a nurse, so we had no shortage of accurate books in the house. Also, we had a "Visible Man" plastic doll that had all sorts of removable organs in it.
Since my dad was a doctor he would bring home swag the drug companies gave him. Sometimes they were like, plastic replicas of joints or organs.
