How can I switch from Ubuntu to W7? (no restarting)

How can I switch from Ubuntu to W7? (no restarting) I'm doing a dual boot. I have some games in Windows that aren't in Linux... So is there a way? Keep in mind- Ubuntu is on my physical (not virtual) drive. Thanks.

If you did a dual boot then no you have to boot into each of them which means only one can be booted at once. You could put Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine and run it inside of Windows then you could have them both running.

Would that subtract from the amount of resources that I have? Such as speed, ventilation, etc.

Yes, because essentially you are running two operating systems at once, if you do not have a "good" computer then you will not enjoy this option very much. However, if you have a decent computer you should be able to. You choose the amount of ram and the amount of hard disc space you give it.

Or you could install w7 inside ubuntu. I've done it before, but with vista on virtual. W7 can't be much harder. Download Virtual Box from the Ubuntu Software Centre and from there it is self-explanitory. You can tell the computer how much ram (visual and system) the virtual machine gets.
