If there's an Emulator for OS (Virtualbox, etc) there must be an emulator for Symbian OS / Android / iOS / and WebOS right?

I'm specifically looking for a Symbian 40 OS emulator. I wanted to try some apps (which are mostly java) for now. I'm on a Windows 7 x64 Ultimate system.

thanks.

You can get emulators of Android and iOS if you register as a developer. I'm not sure about Symbian.

I can only imagine if he was to go to Symbian and register there in order to get it or the manufacturer of his phone that is using symbian. That is what I did with my Samsung Galaxy Gio. Register online there. And got the SDK kit for it and just downloaded Eclipse in order to do programming on it myself to make small apps as I choose to do so over here.

registering would only take me to fill-up some online forms right? and not requiring some credit card / bank data whatsoever? thanks

That's right all your really ding is filling out a form with the manufacturer letting them know that you have a device from them. No credit card needed for that. Plus it lets them know what you have as a Symbian phone. Cause they will most likely ask to see so they have it on file. Like mine over here. Which is from Samsung I did the same thing over here. Plus in their support section for their products I was able to fined what I needed to get into programming my Samsung with the use of Eclipse. So it made it easier for me to do what I needed to do with my Android 2.3.4 OS on my phone.

oh... not cool. you mean I have to buy the product first? that'd be a lot of investment for someone who'd like to develop something that's cross-platform.. :(

Well I needed a new phone my old one died on me the battery is no longer holding a charge and it's over 6 years old. Eclipse and the SDK were free off of the net just needed to download that part and install it onto my computer over here.
