The other day, a friend of mine just wanted to check her twitter account, but she didn't bring her own iPod. So she used my iPod Touch 4 and logged in in the official Twitter app. After she checked it, I removed the account via the Settings App, just the way I should. The next day I started receiving pushed DM's (direct messages) from her twitter account. Well, I don't like to stalk her or something, so I would like stop receiving DM's send to her account. How do I disable this?

I would consider trying a different Twitter app then. I have the same problem on my Android phone. My Twitter account just won't be saved to my accounts. Try apps like Tweetdeck, its a great alternative.

jrdn, he's not having problems with the apps, he is receiving DMs from his friend's twitter. I don't think switching apps will help.

Can't you deactivate Twitter completely and just use another app then?

have you removed him from your settings? This is ugly but, Have you considered wiping your iPhone? of course with a backup available.

I've already removed the specific account from my Twitter Settings in the Settings app, but I doubt if wiping my iPod will help. My iPod Touch makes a back-up in iCloud, but I'll give it a shot.

wiping the iPod and restoring an iCloud back-up from before her log-in did not work. I still get DM's and reply's from her accountw

ok, then this is hard...do you still have Apple Care for that?

I've tried both options twice already, they didn't work for me. I also disabled pushed notifications, and normal notifications, removed the app, rebooted, reinstalled and still had the same problem. Twitter is integrated in iOS 5, so this might be the problem.

Well, the best way that I can think off right off the bat is rebooting your iPod Touch. Now if that doesn't work, reinstalling the app seems to be the way to go.
