I really want to get minecraft, so once my dad gets home. I want to ask him if he can buy it for me. Since I am expecting his initial answer to be "No!" How can I convince him to say yes? (In other words, I want to have my argument ready.)

I fully agree with @Jackster1337 plus when you do that for a long time they'll actually buy more for you (at least that how it feels for me). My parents just bought me a new office chair for $~100 (€75 converted), two 4Gb RAM cards for $~80 (€55 converted) and they paid $~75 (€50 converted) for my trip to GamesCom, and all that in just one week while I'm the richest in the family :)

I have a hard time even getting my parents to pay me for chores. I usually go down my street and ask if I can do yard work for the neighbors. This can include mowing grass in the summer, raking leaves in the fall, and used to include shoveling snow, but I moved to Texas, and it doesn't snow here. It might take a long time to mow someones lawn each week for the whole summer, but it will be nice once you see how much money you make.
