On the PS3 Slim, does it void the warrranty if you take the hard drive out?

When I buy a new PS3, I need to take the hard drive out of it and put an old one in, backup, and then restore to the new PS3 hard drive to recover data from my old broken not worth repairing fat PS3 40GB. The question is, does it void the warranty if you take the hard drive out?

0	Technically, it does. However, providing you don't break any seals, and replace the drive that came with it as sold, if anything was to happen, it most likely wouldn't be noticed, nor would it cause any issues. answered Dec 06 '11 at 12:14 Tim Fontana (suspended)
