Windows display issues?

So, recently I've noticed a couple of issues with the way my graphics are working.

Firstly, I'm running dual ATI cards and the CCC refuses to open. It's still there, but when I click it, it will load for a number of seconds, then nothing.

Secondly, a lot of the time there are problems with my GUI; For example, tonight's is this: alt text

What do you suggest? I've reinstalled the drivers so many times that it's beginning to be a pain, and I really don't want to have to reinstall windows.

Well something is corrupted that's for sure. Have you tried running only on one card?

It's very strange that you can't open CCC even after reinstalling it. Maybe you should uninstall CCC, run on one card, do a driver sweep to remove every driver installed, then install CCC but no other drivers, see if you can get the program running. If not then it's the windows system that's corrupted. You can try installing windows on another partition of hard drive, if the problem persists it's a hardware fault. I got similar artifacts on the screen when I got dirt on my screen cable, might want to clean it. Also try using different display ports on your graphics cards maybe one of them is defect.

Urggh, I thought it would be. But I'm sure it's nothing to do with a particular output. I would try disabling Crossfire and running a monitor on the second card but since I can't open CCC, that's not an option.

start with removeing all the drivers to your ATI card, dont bother with the built in uninstall, use this:

Driver sweeper

then download the latest drivers for your card and operating system and install, then if the issue is still there it could be from another program running on your system.

I had graphical artifacts and strange issues with AVG and a few other antivirus/spyware programs, somehow they would leave things onscreen which would not go until i changed resolution. Might be worth starting in safe mode to see if the issue is still there.
