I am trying to Host a Minecraft severer online, But I cant port Forward on my fathers Internet... He is afraid of hackers... Is there a way to host the server without Port Forwarding? and not use "Logmein Hamachi"? I appreciate any help I get. Thanks! P.s Im not using the logmein Hamachi b/c none of my buddys are wanting to install it just to play on my server...

Are you using a router as well for the set up with your father's computer? If you are here is a place on the internet with some routers that can show you how to port forward with them. http://portforward.com/ It should help you out a little bit. I know I had to with my dlink router over here.

I'm not sure about the No-Port Forwarding concept, but I am sure that you can run a server with out Hamachi. All you need to do is download this:

https://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftDownload/launcher/minecraft_server.jar?

(From Minecraft.net in the downloads section) and just run it. It will show what port it is forwarding on and what the ip is (just the ip of the computer you are running it off of) What's the problem with port forwarding that you have?
