Hey Lockergnome,

Recently I've got my AT2020 microphone and it worked perfectly on my Dell Vostro 3700 with a plastic body. Now I've got my MacBook Pro 17 Inch with a aluminum body and it is causing static interference while recording.

I know that the aluminum body can (and in my case) conduct electricity which is the reason for the static interference with the input signal from my mic.

Can this be fixed with a Express-card USB card? I am looking at this one right now but I am not sure 100% sure that this will fix the problem and I don't think I'll need it for anything else.

Will this work or not? Or do you know of a other way to fix this problem?
