Sorta-Gaming Desktop

I'm looking to buy a new desktop to light-medium game, I DON'T plan on playing most of the new game titles like MW3, Skyrim, BF3, or any of those really demanding graphic games. At the moment i play L4D 1&2 (Medium), TF2 (Low With Skipping), AVA (Medium), Minecraft (Lowest Settings Sadly) on a Toshiba l755-s5306 Laptop. My budget is $600-$800 (I'm not looking for a really high demanding gaming desktop)

I DO plan on playing GTA IV, COD: BA, WAW, Dead Rising 2.

Also, another question, what am i looking for when i want to purchase a gaming desktop the Processor, Card, or?

for that budget you can get a machine that can run all of those games, even Skyrim (why you'd play that is beyond me) but BF3 will certainly flow pretty well. The CPU should be around 1100T from AMD or 2600K from Intel, you can go with slower if you don't mind the increased loading times. The graphics card will be a 67xx series from AMD or 56x from Nvidia. Those cards will easily do the games you wanted to play on max, at least on 1080p. I have a 5770 and it runs them all on max.
