Minecraft Acting Weird

Hi, I'm on a Mac and I do not want to hear anything related to the Windows vs Mac war please, I'm sick of it.

Recently Minecraft has been like heating up my MacBook Pro. It didn't heated it up before...it heats up my computer and revs the fan to keep it cool. Any fix for this? I'm tired of having to dumb down the settings..

I'm not sure what's causing the heatup, but I know that there's an app that I use called SMC Fan Control. It is a little menubar app that controls the fan speed in your Mac. I especially need it, because when I'm rendering video, I want to keep my Mac as cool as it can be (leaving out the extra variables like temperature of room...).
