I have a graphics card with a DVI, HDMI and VGA, I currently use a 24" benq monitor with a HDMI connection, I am looking to buy a second monitor (the same one) but do I need another graphics card and if not will using say HDMI and a DVI look slightly different? |

You will just connect the second monitor to preferably the DVI slot. for 24" there is no apparent reason in image quality between HDMI and DVI, however there are between DVI and VGA. HDMI just allows sound to be sent with the video signal i.e if you have speakers in your monitor. However if you are moving beyond 1200p DVI may start slowing down so for a 30" 1600p monitor you should use HDMI instead of DVI. |
