SO, do you believe that video games inspire creativity? Like, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, EVEN Pacman , Tetris and Mario. I think they do TO AN EXTENT. (Because, of course, they probably WON'T have you set with an education to guide yo through life (if you haven't already learned algebra, science, and such. Also, do you think that EVEN flash games and first person shooters give education SOMEWHAT. I also think game like Call of Duty give you values of past war and cause and effect. |

Well a game that revolves around shooting everything that moves in the face will probably not make you very creative.. But there are certainly games that does, FPS is just a bad genre.... Sandbox games like Minecraft and Terraria but also simulation games like Simcity and the Sims will certainly force out the more creative side of you making you develop it further. In short any game that makes you choose between two options where the only difference is the visual appeal, makes you creative to a lesser extent. Even games like WoW where you now can customize your gear to look like something else, you can model your own character and that makes you creative. |

I think, as you stated in your question, it does inspire creativity to some extent. Especially "Sandbox" games where you can basically build/destroy whatever you wish. Before I played minecraft I was terrible at thinking of cool buildings and things to build. Now I love trying new ways to make them visually appealing. |

If the video game requires Strategy & Creativity, them most definitely. If you can make a game fun, and at the same time educate ... that's a WIN! WIN!! |
