So I was playing around with features on my mac and found the remote access thing in finder. (Where you can log into another machine on network) And I managed to successfully log into one of our machines running vista. But all the times I tried I couldn't log into any of our XP machines. Is there a way to fix that? I don't know much about XP since I haven't used it in over 6 months.

Teamviewer is one of the top choices, it works on both platforms, and it's free!

I don't know about your remote access program on your computer, but Chrome Remote Desktop works pretty damn well. Also, it seems to be completely cross-platform, which is always a plus. The only down side is that you need someone on the other computer to 'accept' your request, per se. So, it's less of a remote access utility and more of a thing you'd use when your friends can't figure out how to do something on their computer.
