ebooks are generally overpriced since the production cost is much lower.

any ebook that uses DRM is not worth even a penny. Any drm that relies on an external source for authentication is a horrible form of copy protection because your product is linked to a server run by the company and if it no longer becomes profitable to keep the DRM server running then your paid for content will stop working.

You forget the fact that distributors still want their cut... Amazon, Apple, Google all take their cut and often this is as high or higher than what the brick and mortar retailers make at full markup...

There not really a rip off because most of them do what there supposed to do quite well. But there’s other devises that can do technically the something and more for almost the same price.

Well.. Only if your battery dies and you have no way of recharging it... but I am not sure if I would consider that much of a bad situation..because there is more than likely a way to recharge your device.

I the prices are considerable outrageous, think about it before you're paying for the actual paper ink and labor, now they typr it once and just maintain their website and maintenance, although it is more convenient having acess to books anywhere connected to the internet the prices should still be lower

Paper and Ink are pretty cheap. What about the time that the author spent writing the book. They can sometimes spend a year or 2 with no income, and rely on the income from the book to survive. Prices can always be lowered some, or raised some, but there isn't anything wrong with the current prices. If the prices were lower, many more copies of the book would have to be sold for the author to make the same amount of money. If the price was higher then fewer books would be sold, and the author wouldn't make as much money.

However, if you really have a problem with the price of the book, try contacting the author and asking them if you could have a discount on the book. I have met a few authors in real life and they were nice enough to give me a book for free.
