Rapidshare itself is legal. The only thing that would be illegal is if someone uploads or downloads an illegal file. So as long as you upload legal files (files that don't violate copyright laws or contain viruses/spyware/malware).

No. Downloading a movie or music that you do not have copyright on without paying for it is illegal. Most movies or music that you would be watching/listening to is protected by copyright.

depends on where you live, in my country it's not illegal to download copyrighted material, it is however illegal to distribute it. The pirate bay is legal, but you can download and share copyrighted material.

I agree with the above. Rapidshare its self is legal, illegal is the stuff that users put on it. Hope that help!

Here in Canada, downloading torrents of software and movies is legal. It's just illegal to seed or upload.
