How well do ASUS laptops seem to last?

I'm currently using a dell laptop, I'm not happy with the way it's been falling apart lately. I been taking very good care of my laptop and now the headphone jack doesn't work and the dvd tray is falling apart. When I can I'm thinking about getting an ASUS laptop and was wondering if I would have better luck?

I've been very happy with ASUS products. They have fantastic build quality. My ASUS netbook from about four years ago is still running fine. I'm a Mac user now, but if I were to buy another PC, it would be an ASUS or a Lenovo. I've had nothing but problems with Dell in the past. If you take good care of it, it'll ask you a while. It'll probably become obsolete spec-wise before it falls apart.
