My iPhone 4S's microphone does not work on calls, just on speakerphone.

A problem I am having with my iPhone 4S is that when I call someone they cannot hear me speaking unless I talk using speakerphone. Along with this, though, I can hear them both not using speaker and using the receiver. Also, I can't use Siri because the mic seams to not register I am speaking. In contrast, I can talk no problem through FaceTime. Can anyone please help?

0	Have you tried a restore? Or plugging in an external mic of some sort to see if that works? It doesn't seem like a hardware problem if it works for FaceTime. answered Jan 03 '12 at 17:32 josephLtech 1.7k●123●142●160
