I have a surround system in my room that I made using computer speakers and a radio as the center. Right now I'm just using the 4 inch woofer that's in the Cambridge Soundworks radio (which is set up as center). Sadly the radio enclosure can't handle the bass that comes out of the woofer since I play a lot of bass heavy songs so the enclosure vibrates and makes a lot of unwanted sound. I was wondering if there were any subs (at least 6 inch) that were self powered (built in amp) and that are reasonably priced. I'm using this with my PC so the sub has to be able to except the analog sub output that runs for the computer. If you can find anything please tell me. Oh and if you can't find that, could you possibly find me a good offer for a Companion 3 series II system in mint condition? That would also solve my problem. Current System: Bose Companion 2 series II as front Cambridge SoundWorks Radio as Center (set on mono so sound plays through left and right speakers) Two crappy eMachines speakers as rear Set up I'd like: As mentioned above with a sub or Bose Companion 3 series II as front (series 3 comes with sub) Cambridge SoundWorks Radio as Center (set on mono so sound plays through left and right speakers) Bose Companion 2 series II as rear My sound card allows me to redirect bass to a certain set of speakers so don't worry about that. |
