Well over the weekend I was barely awake and I was not paying attention. I reached out my arm to grab my laptop that was laying on the nightstand. It fell with an empty cup. The cup hit the laptop. This laptop is made from metal. It is an ASUS (please don't tell me to use the warranty). I am self conscious about this 1-1.5 inch (width) dent. It is on the back of the screen. It doesn't loo HORRIBLE. But you can SOMEWHAT see it. It is centered, but at the bottom near the hinges of the screen. How do I try to care less about it. Thanks. |

o dear... you have a dent in your laptop, I'm sorry but GET OVER IT. Your laptop still works does it not? So it may not look the best... But to ask "How do I try to care less about it." it is not constructive to the internet nor is it to this site or anyone on here. So either get it fixed or deal with it. |

As long as it doesn't affect how the laptop works, why care about it? Besides it's on the back of the screen anyway so it's not like you're going to have to stare at it every time you use your laptop. If you really care about how it looks just put a sticker over it or something. |

Well, one benefit is it is personalized. No one else can say that laptop is not yours. You can spot your laptop anywhere and if needed, give a very unique description that perfectly describes your laptop. Unlike stickers that someone could remove to 'steal' your laptop, this laptop has a personal 'touch'. |

it's only cosmetic damage, ware and tear. use the dent as an excuse and put a sticker over it, no more dent, and the laptop looks better! |

If it bothers you this much then just buy a new one. |

You can get a full- sized & cool decal- assuming it's a heavy weight, matte finish that won't show the dent as much, or and this is a major "or"- replace the lid yourself? After warranty, naturally...Not the screen- just the lid. Cheers & sorry about the dent- that sux! |
