I'm trying to attach my itunes on my macbook pro to a new account so I can authorise it, it says it's authorised under the new account but it won't play still and asks me to authorise my computer under the old account. How can I make the audiobooks/movies etc... play? Is my computer attached to the old account in a deeper sense? Thanks.

When you setup your Macbook, you put an Apple ID. It's still tethered to your old Apple ID, so you must change the account the Macbook is linked to.
