I'm in the market for a tablet. I think something on the lower end would suit me best because I do spend a lot of time on my desktop computer. I will be using this Tablet for general surfing and various Google services (email, Google talk).

Two that I have scratched off my list are the iPad and Playbook. I love the iPad, but the amount of use I'd get out of this Tablet doesn't warranty that kind of price. I would like a device that supports wifi.

The Kindle Fire is definitely for you. It's a very nice $199 tablet. It's probably the nicest low budget tablet on the market.

I agree with him, it's the best Android tablet out on the market, IMO.

Certainly something I will look into further.

I would check out the Amazon Kindle then. Though I don't know if the Google services are built into it.

no the google services are not built in. and there really are no offical google apps that I know of. But i find you really dont need the offical google apps.

Amazon has their free app of the day, most of the time they are games, but once in a while you get things for productivity.

What google services do you want to use exactly?

What other options do I have beyond the Kindle Fire? After looking into it further the Kindle Fire isn't available in Canada yet and doesn't appear to have any release date.

if you can still find one for under $200 consider the HP touchpad, it currently runs webos and android 4.0 ICS

The webos is pretty good, (has one of the best UI's) and android ICS also works well and is making great progress in getting bugs fixed.

It has a much better screen (9.7 inch IPS screen) and better hardware. Faster CPU and twice the RAM (1GB) and has volume control buttons.

The Viewsonic ViewPad 7. I use that and it works very well.
