Blogging Tips?

Always try to do material that really hasn't been covered anywhere else (unless you're a news blog). The creativity to blogs is what gets me to read them, and if I see a similar blog post somewhere else then I will not read it.

Come up with unique topics, put in your opinion with facts and opinions from others. Draw your readers in make them a part of the conversation. If you cover the big normal stuff like Apple put your opinion in on everything. Draw up from other companies and make it a story not just a oh gee there is another iPad. Community, try to answer comments as quickly as you can, ask for comments. Make videos for some of your posts if possible. Schedule, get on a regular schedule of posting and stick with it. For me I post 3 times a week. Content not size, make the content matter a good 250 word post is better than a 500 word post filled with junk that isn't worth reading. If you use Wordpress be very spare about plugins only use what you need, there is a good plugin called WP-Footnotes that does footnotes for you automatically that might help you, it did for me. If you can have your own domain. Hock, line and sinker. Use creative titles draw them in get their attention, play with words. Have a twitter and facebook for your blog use a app on facebook called networkedblogs to auto post your stuff to facebook.
