I have two option, connecting my desktop to my router with a Ethernet cable. or, just connecting it to wifi. cables dont bother me but i want to know what option is better. thanks for the help.

You'll generally get a more stable signal out of Ethernet. I'd go with that.

Technically Ethernet is better, it has lower ping times and higher speeds. The only bonus to WiFi is that it is wireless but if you arn't planning on moving the desktop then use a wire.
