HELP Sound on any internet browser won't work.

Could somebody help? I am not getting any sound from Google Chrome OR Internet Explorer so I know that I do not need to re-install or anything. What do I do? I have Windows 7 and the sound mixer is as it should be. Sometimes sound works and sometimes it doesn't. It works when I close Skype? What does that mean?

Are you sure the browsers aren't muted in the mixer, or routed to a different card? I have Virtual Audio Cable (as this laptop doesn't have Stereo Mix) and it does get messed up sometimes. It happens. Just restart the computer or unmute the programs.
