what do you think is better for filmmaking Canon 60D or Nikon D5100? |
|
Between the two I'd say 60D. I've heard the D5100 is a pain to deal with in manual mode, and the Canons up to this point have generally had better video quality than the Nikons. I actually just bought the Sony NEX-5N. Great little camera. I considered the 60D, but I like the 5N because it can autofocus during video and it can shoot 1080p at 60fps. Huge features for me. The video quality definitely stands up to the 60D and because of the small form factor I'm more likely to carry it around with me, just something I like. But if I wanted a camera with more buttons for manual easier control, I'd probably still go with the Sony a65 over the 60D. Newer technology with nicer video features (AF in video, 1080p60, less rolling shutter). We'll see what Canon comes out with this year! But sorry, I digress. My answer is 60D over the D5100 for video. |

I would go with the Canon. I have a Canon T2i and its takes really good video. |
